What Botox Can and Cannot Treat
Botox changes selected muscle activity, while fillers add volume and surgery addresses different structural or skin-laxity concerns.

The ICRS Botox material describes treatment of movement-related lines by reducing selected nerve signals to muscles. Published facial areas include forehead lines, crow’s feet, and frown lines between the eyebrows.
Botox does not add volume and does not remove loose skin. Dermal fillers, resurfacing, surgery, skin care, or no treatment may be more appropriate when the concern is caused by volume loss, surface change, or tissue laxity rather than movement.
Placement and dose should follow examination of the way the face moves. The discussion should include expected duration, maintenance, asymmetry, eyelid or brow effects, other risks, and the possibility that treatment is not indicated.
For personalized guidance, the next step is a consultation with the practice. The team can review your goals, timing, relevant history, and realistic options directly with you.
